The Guinea pig is a Rodent. This means that their teeth are constantly growing and must knaw to keep them overgrowing. Their clostest relatives are the Chinchilla and the Capybara which is a giant rodent from South America. The Capybara lives in swamps and feeds on plants in and near the waters edge. They are also very good swimmers but are attacked by aligators, Jaguars and Pythons. The Chinchilla is a rodent that looks like a bigger version of the Gerbil. They come in the colour grey but some have been seen that are white. They can be bought from petstores like Pets at Home and can be very expensive. Also these animals like to have sand baths to keep their coat shiny and healthy.
